JÓVENES ADELANTE provides opportunitites for higher education and the development of life skills through university scholarships and other necessary support to talented, economically disadvantaged Mexican youth from the municipality of San Miguel de Allende and the surrounding rural communities.

• scholarship stipends
• a lengthy scholarship selection process beginning with an outreach effort to recruit promising high school students
• home visits to determine economic need and family support are conducted for those students meeting the selection criteria.
• assigning a volunteer mentor who meets with the student at least monthly periodic workshops being available to all students to provide an opportunity to develop life skills in such things as: computers; resume writing; job interviewing; nutrition; hygiene and self-defense.
