The Mark and Legacy that Endure – Ofrenda Día de Muertos
In Mexico, the Day of the Dead is an invitation to remember with love and gratitude those who have been part of our lives. Our offering pays tribute to members of the JA community who shared their time, affection, knowledge, and resources to help young people gain access to a college education, most recently, James Deline, Michael Koen, Scott & Kitty Hayes and Charles Novogrodsky.

Their stories are intertwined with our own, and their influence lives on in the students they encouraged and the opportunities they helped create. We celebrate the many ways in which their generosity continues to provide opportunities for our community.

Just as an ofrenda (offering) keeps the memory of our loved ones alive, a legacy gift carries forward their spirit and values. It is an act of love, vision, and transcendence — a gift that continues to transform lives through higher education.

On our website, you’ll find a virtual ofrenda to honor their memory and thank those who have believed in our mission. Their support has been essential in helping more students build a brighter future.
